Mother's Union
Mothers' Union meetings take place on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:30pm (except during the summer months of June, July and August). They are normally held at the Green School, though in January and September begin with a short service in church.
All our meetings are open to anyone with no commitment to join the Mothers’ Union or attend regularly. We ask for a contribution of £1 per meeting attended, which helps with the expenses and work of the Mothers' Union.
Our programme is varied, with advanced notice being given in the Churches monthly magazine. Sometimes we have a speaker on a subject that reflects the objectives of the Mothers' Union, or fellowship and outreach. At other times are meetings may be a discussion, a contemplative session preparing us for Advent or Lent, or a practical session involving craft or packing Christmas boxes.
We support Church events and groups and also help the Boston Women's Aid with donations of toiletries and other items, as well as supporting Rose Lodge Care Home in Market Deeping. We have joint events with other local MU branches as well.
