Safeguarding Policy

Safeguarding is very important to us. We want St. Guthlac’s Church to be a safe place for everyone. We take seriously our duty of care for all, including for every child or vulnerable adult who comes into contact with St. Guthlac’s Church.

We follow the guidance and rules that apply to us as part of the Church of England and have a safeguarding policy. All staff and volunteers who have contact on their own with vulnerable adults or children complete a DBS check and complete safeguarding training.

You can view our Safeguarding Policy here.

Getting help or raising a concern

If there is an urgent, serious problem or you are concerned that someone (at church or anywhere) is at serious risk, then you should ask for help from the emergency services by phoning 999.

If your concern or problem is less urgent you can contact our Parish Safeguarding Officer, Anne Guthrie, on 07979 106822 or safeguarding@stguthlacs.org.uk.

If you wish to speak to someone outside the church you can contact the diocesan safeguarding team at 01522 504070 or safeguarding@lincoln.anglican.org
