Safeguarding

We want St. Guthlac’s Church to be a safe place for everyone, so safeguarding is very important to us.  We take seriously our duty of care for all, including for every child or vulnerable adult who comes into contact with St. Guthlac’s Church.

We follow the guidance and rules that apply to us as part of the Church of England, and have a safeguarding policy. To view our Safe-guarding policy and our Lone Working Policy, click the links above.  All staff and volunteers undertake safeguarding training and all staff and volunteers who have contact on their own with vulnerable adults or children complete a DBS check.

Getting help or raising a concern

If there is an urgent, serious problem or you are concerned that someone (at church or anywhere) is at serious risk, then you should ask for help from the emergency services by phoning 999

If your concern or problem is less urgent you can contact our Parish Safeguarding Officer, Anne Guthrie, on 07979 106822 or safeguarding@stguthlacs.org.uk

If you wish to speak to someone outside the church you can contact the diocesan safeguarding team on01522 504070 or safeguarding@lincoln.anglican.org

There is also information on the Diocese of Lincoln website about other places from where you can get help, advice or support, on this link here.
