We are looking for a new School Governor to join the Aspire Federation Governing Board (William Hildyard School and St George's School, Stamford). This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working collaboratively and wants to make a positive difference for children, families and the wider community.

Working alongside others, you will help shape the strategic direction of the schools, support high standards and ensure every child is given the opportunity to flourish. No previous governance or education experience is required, as training and ongoing support will be provided.

The role involves attending six governing board meetings each year, held on Wednesday evenings 6.00pm-8.00pm.  Half of these are online, with the remainder held in person at William Hildyard or St George's Schools.  Governors are also asked to visit each school a couple of times a year.  There are opportunities to be involved in other aspects of school life if you wish, and occasional additional meetings may be required.

As both schools are Church of England schools, we are particularly keen to hear from people with a connection to a church or an aspect of a churches community life.
