The Friends of St. Guthlac exists to help preserve and enhance our beautiful Grade 1 listed church building for future generations. We are delighted to be relaunching the Friends of St. Guthlac and warmly invite you to become part of it.

If you have supported the Friends previously, thank you, and sorry we have not been in touch recently. Your generosity has helped care for our beloved church over many years and we are enormously grateful. We very much hope you will continue with us as we begin this new chapter.

As we relaunch the Friends of St. Guthlac, we want it to become a community of people who value this remarkable building and want to help preserve it for the community for years to come, keeping it open, safe and welcoming. Every penny given through the Friends is used exclusively for the care, repair and conservation of the church building and its historic fabric.

As a Friend you will be part of a community of people helping preserve St. Guthlac's. We will also:

Invite you to our new annual Friends event, featuring a heritage talk or guided tour of the church with refreshments.

Recognise your support on a noticeboard within the church (unless you would prefer to remain anonymous).

Send email updates twice a year about how your support is making a difference.

Have the satisfaction of helping preserve one of Market Deeping's most important historic buildings

All our ministry and mission, services and events, and upkeep of our beautiful, historic buildings, are funded through the amazing generosity of all those who donate to the church. We are a registered charity and receive no money from the Diocese or Government. So we rely on your kind generosity to carry out our work in the church and community, which we are incredibly grateful for. Thank you.

It costs £100,800 a year to keep the church open and sustain our ministry. That’s £1,938 a week!

Can you help?

By donating to the church, you are enabling us to continue providing services, helping us maintain the buildings, and sustaining our ministry across Market Deeping and beyond. Thanks to you we are currently able to support people in times of joy and times of sadness, to focus on wellbeing, environmental issues, spirituality and hospitality, to assist in various ways with the life of the local schools, care homes and local charities, as well as caring for individuals in need, and more. Your generosity kindly enables this, the church’s mission and ministry, to continue within Market Deeping.

Please consider making a donation. Your support is very much appreciated and all donations, whatever the size, are gratefully received as valued contributions towards the life of our church and community. Thank you for your support, it is much appreciated and needed.
